Pythagoras Theorem

Pythagoras Theorem

Formula: a2 + b2 = c2
Find c :
2 + 2 = 2
Find b :
2 + 2 = 2

Concept

Statement : In any right triangle, the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares whose sides are the two legs (the two sides that meet at a right angle).

Other representations
h2 + b2 = d2 where h = height, b = base & d = hypotenuse
c2 - a2 = b2 where a = height, b = base & c = hypotenuse
